Carla Heffner is in her sixth season as the athletic trainer for the Bobcat women’s basketball team and Assistant Athletic Trainer for Texas State University.

In addition to working with the women’s basketball team, Heffner oversees athletic training for Texas State’s women’s soccer and volleyball teams, and also teaches courses in the athletic training program.
 
Heffner holds a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from Lock Haven University (Pennsylvania) and a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Iowa State University.

Prior to working at Texas State, Heffner worked at Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo.

Heffner is the daughter of Denton and Sylvia Heffner and has two sisters, Karrie and Julie. She currently lives in New Braunfels, Texas.
