Introductory Fencing Lessons

Ages 8 & up

Tuesdays 6-7 PM
Cost: $50 per 4 Lesson Course.
All Equipment Provided for Introductory Classes
Discounts available for Families ($10 discount for each additional student)

Course 2 (Oct 7, 14, 21, 28)
6-7 PM Tuesdays
Course 3 (Nov 4, 11, 18, 25) 6-7 PM Tuesdays

Participants eligible to join Youth or Open Competitive Program upon completion of a Course. Fees for programs will be pro-rated.
Designed for those with little or no experience in fencing
Private Lessons are encouraged and may be arranged with the instructors for an additional fee.  If interested please contact the instructor for additional information.

Youth and Pre-Competitive Program
Ages 8 & up
Mondays,Wednesdays & Thursdays 6-8 PM at Jowers Center
Classes are on going and students can start at any time

Fee: $175 per semester (Sep 3rd-Dec 11th) ($25 membership fee payable to ATAC, Inc. and $150 instruction fee payable to instructor) Monthly payment plans are available
Family Membership $175 for 1st student, $50 discount for subsequent students

USFA membership required for insurance purposes. $60 per year.

Students must provide own equipment. ATAC has obtained discounted prices with vendors for equipment and will assist in the ordering of equipment if requested.
For those students with some fencing experience.
Strict code of conduct will be enforced.
Permission of instructor required.
Program Options:
For an additional $25 per semester payable to ATAC, Inc. Pre-Competitive students meeting Open Fencing eligibility requirements (13 years or older) will be allowed to attend the "Open Competitive" sessions (MTWTH 7-10 PM).  Acceptance into "Open Competitive" sessions is contingent upon following salle rules of behavior.  A fencer may have open fencing privileges suspended (temporarily or permanently) at any time with no refund of fees.
Permission of instructor required for this option.
Private Lessons are available for the serious fencer and may be arranged with the instructors for an additional fee.  If interested please contact the instructor for additional information.
Open Competitive Program
Minimum age requirement of 13 (USFA requirements for eligibility to fence in open competition)
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7 - 10 PM at the Jowers Center
No group instruction provided. Fencers may arrange private lessons with instructor of their choice during this time.
Fee: $150 per semester or $75 per month payable to ATAC, Inc.
Fencers must provide own equipment.
For those students with competitive fencing experience
Strict code of conduct will be enforced.
Permission of instructor required
Family Memberships
Fee: 1st member at regular price, 2nd member $50 discount, maximum family fee $250.
Texas State University-San Marcos Student Membership
Fee: $10 per semester

For insurance purposes members are required to join the USFA ($60 annual fee).

Texas State University-San Marcos Parking Stickers are available for an annual fee of $72 (September) and prorated for Spring and Summer Sessions, which allows the holder to park near the Jowers Center  after 3PM and all day Saturday and Sunday.
